On May 7th, WordPress released “Jaco,” Version 5.2 inspired by the world renowned jazz bassist Jaco Pastorius. It is available to update or download in your dashboard, on WordPress. This new update was created to make it easier to fix your site, if something were to go wrong.

“Jaco” features a ton more tools, to help WordPress users identify and fix configuration issues and errors that could be fatal. They are made for developers helping clients and for people who manage their own sites. The tools will help you get the information and help that you need, right when you need it.
Statewide Probate, Florida Probate Attorneys, are a good example of a law firm that uses WordPress for business. This update could greatly benefit them, along with the “average Joe.”

“Accessibility Updates
A number of changes work together to improve contextual awareness and keyboard navigation flow for those using screen readers and other assistive technologies.

New Dashboard Icons
Thirteen new icons including Instagram, a suite of icons for BuddyPress, and rotated Earth icons for global inclusion. Find them in the Dashboard and have some fun!

Plugin Compatibility Checks
WordPress will now automatically determine if your site’s version of PHP is compatible with installed plugins. If the plugin requires a higher version of PHP than your site currently uses, WordPress will not allow you to activate it, preventing potential compatibility errors.”
